Video: Polyface Farm and why farmers are the best pitchmen
6 October 2009 in Marketing, VideosPolyface Farm is one of the most famous farms in America. It came to light nationwide when introduced in Michael Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma. One of the most interesting things is the fact that Joel Salatin does not consider himself a cow, sheep or chicken farmer, but a grass farmer. He explains this fact quite clearly, but this is a great point of differentiation between himself and other farmers. Farmers are one of the best marketers and brand cultivators you will find in the marketplace. If you ever need a sales pick-me-up I suggest you head down to a local farmers market and try and watch the pitches fly.
